An Awesome Day Yesterday
Yesterday was an epic day. First, we (my brother, cousin, cousin's friend and I) went biking for about two hours around Stanley Park. We picked blackberries and after that, we had some Vietnamese noodles and they were great. It was my first time going there and we ordered a small bowl of noodles with a side of spring rolls. I actually didn't have a really good idea (none at all) of how big a small was. It was big (and delicious) and we were stuffed. Keep reading.
Blackberry And Apple Pie!
So what did we do with all the blackberries? Eat them all? Nope. We froze them yesterday and today we're going to make blackberry pie! Well, it's not really a blackberry pie. We're adding some apples, so it will really be a apple and blackberry pie (think of it as a two in one). We've made pie before, so this one is going to be delicious.
What Up With All The Signs?
A thing that was pretty funny was when we were heading over to Stanley Park, we had to pass the Pacific National Exhibition (in much more simpler terms, P.N.E.). It was a pretty busy day for P.N.E. and the parking had to be scarce. So what do we see when we drive by houses that are a block near P.N.E? People. People standing in their parking spot holding up signs that say $25 and Parking Here (I was confused when people were holding up $25 signs that only said $25 and nothing else). And loads of people asked us, "Parking?". It was pretty funny and a sight to see.
Airplanes In The Night Skylight
What's up with the line from the song Airplanes? Well, yesterday, after a totally fun day of biking and noodles, we headed to the park. At the park, we played some frisbee and checked out the new community garden that had been built about a few months ago. Anyways, after that, we saw a guy who was flying one of those cool airplanes that were remote controlled. He showed us the parts of the plane and we learned a lot.
