The Great Tale of Philman and Kevin
There I was, walking in to my homeroom on the first day of high school. I didn't know a single person there but I was a huge mess of a bunch of feelings. Confused, scared, excited, blah blah blah. Anyhow, fast forward past the homeroom session and somehow I'm with this guy. We introduce ourselves to each other and shake hands (honestly that made everything go the way it did). I learned that he actually lived on the same street as me, albeit across a busy road.
Over the next three years we would become great friends (if he saw this he would cringe). Sometimes we just didn't have any classes together, but for some reason or whatever we're still friends. Now he's a confidant and close friend of mine. HERE'S TO ANOTHER TWO MORE YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL BUDDY.
A whole bunch of stuff
Recently I have decided to take over as a leader for the "dying" Journalism club at Alpha. The teacher who was sponsoring it this year has decided to let it go and I've taken the challenge of trying to revive it. After today's last Journalism meeting of the year I realized that I have a lot of work to do and a lot of responsibilities as well. I'm excited and somewhat nervous because I'm afraid that I'm going to fail.
Adding onto my role in Journalism, I also want to kick-start the eSports "scene" at Alpha and build a solid foundation for years to come, especially after I leave. Same goes for Journalism. I want to leave behind a legacy and several clubs and standards in the hands of people that I can trust. Naturally though, building standards from absolutely nothing requires a tremendous amount of work.
A third big goal I have for next year is to get Alpha to participate more through social media, and get the TV bulletins running for announcements, Social media is a great way of reaching out an audience, and I feel as if Alpha isn't using it enough. While it won't call for as much attention as the previous two things, it's still going to take some effort.
I also want to start looking into doing freelance writing for various sites, but that's something that I'm putting aside for the time being.
So there you have it. As always, I want to obtain decent marks, and I feel like this might just build onto something really big. Getting through it will add character right?
G'night and sweet dreams
Goodnight everybody and thank you for reading tonight's post <3
Today I'm a beautiful 8. What about you?
