There's A Cup On My Desk

It's A Christmas Themed One

I lifted it to take a sip of what I hoped was moderately warm water.

The water wasn't cold.

There was no water.

Like if you cry every time.

Anime Blog?

No.

I have to dedicate time to Biology. Besides that point I don't really feel any motivation to start something like that. I mean I would, but there's a high chance that it would just stay on the ground. Assuming that I did start the blog, I probably wouldn't be able to put as much effort into it as I would like to.

Actually, change that "no" to "a very low chance".

More Next Time, On Kevin's Blog

There's so much that I am supposed to do, I just keep forgetting. Maybe I should get somebody to personally remind me to do something.

Or you could just help out every now and then with that ^^ Anyhow I'm an 8. Until the next post (who knows when?).

Fall 2014 Thoughts

So I Thought "Ah, Screw It" (Spoilers <3)

I do realize that it's been a pretty extended period of time since the last post, so I decided that it was finally time to post. However I still wanted to make it an anime centered one. Throughout many executive decisions I finally came to the conclusion that I would just write a post on the anime that I have already started.

Here's my MAL for reference, so let's start with the list of what I'm watching right now (nothing's changed, but if you weren't here for the last post then this will be helpful):

Akame ga Kill!
Amagi Brilliant Park
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken
Grisaia no Kajitsu
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de
Kiseijuu
Log Horizon 2
Orenchi no Furo Jijo
Sword Art Online II
Trinity Seven

Akame ga Kill!

I'm on and off with this anime. Sometimes it's incredibly good and I find myself just dying until the next episode, and sometimes the episode leaves a pretty bitter taste in my mouth. The second half of the season has started and the story is being driven somewhere, so I'm expecting grand things.

Characters... I'd like to say that they're getting somewhere (maybe they are, I have no clue), and hopefully that'll help improve the quality of the show. But as of now I think Akame ga Kill! will be another anime that I will eventually forget.

Best Girl: Chelsea

Amagi Brilliant Park

My favourite this season by a long shot. Episodes are well done and leave me longing for more each time. The comedy is great and well executed, but the anime still retains a serious-ish feel to it (at least to me, for others it might just be plain laughs).

Amagi Brilliant Park is an anime that focuses on an amusement park on the verge of being shut down and how the MC (Seiya Kanie) becomes the manager of the park in an attempt to save it. There's a lot more to it, but that's what I'll say without giving away too much.

Characters are pretty much great right now. Tons of room for growth and development. Amagi Brilliant Park is doing a spectacular job this season, and I sincerely hope that it will continue to do so.

Best Girl: Isuzu Sento

Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai

"Oh hey it's a VN adaption, so it's gonna be bad."

MC is a boy who likes books, put plainly. He likes them because each book he reads sheds light on otherwise dark parts of the world. I'm assuming this, but he gains an intuition from some sort of childhood encounter with one named the Shepherd and thus saves a random girl from a train.

Art looks somewhat different, but the show itself isn't bad at all. It's mildly entertaining at times and it's a good way to spend the season, as long as you enter without expecting something amazing from Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai.

Best Girl: Tsugumi Shirasaki

Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken

The reason why I picked up Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken was simply because it was airing and was a short (each episode is roughly four minutes long). It makes me smile from time to time and is a great show to pick up this season. It's basically the story of a recently-wed wife and otaku husband and the comedic parts of their life together.

Best Girl: Kaoru Tsunashi

Grisaia no Kajitsu

When I watch Grisaia it feels like Shaft when I actually liked it. The style is clean and nice, and while I have never played the VN it feels like a good adaption (although it's most likely the common route right now). The funny bits are funny, but something that hasn't been touched on much is the darker side of the anime (that was highly emphasized in PVs).

All the characters are likable and the series is quite entertaining for me this season. Definitely one of the better anime for fall, so I can't wait to see how it goes on.

Best Girl: Ama-nee

Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de

Silly anime about the Literature Club gaining super powers (some powerful and some not so much) that tries to be serious at times. Comedy ranges from decent to good, but the more "serious" scenes are not so likable. There seems to be a underlying plot that's being hidden for the time being, but I don't care much for those.

All in all, pretty nice stuff.

Best Girl: Tomoyo Kanzaki

Kiseijuu

For two episodes aired Kiseijuu (also known as Parasyte) has been extremely interesting. It's an anime that follows the life of a MC who has his right hand replaced by an alien sort of thing. The show has set itself up for greatness, and we'll just have to see how well it executes the events leading up to greatness.

Characters are fresh and I'm enjoying the overall feel of the anime. This one will probably end up being one of the better bunch.

Best Girl: Satomi Murano

Log Horizon 2

Weeeeeee, here we go with the second season of Log Horizon. So far the episodes have been pretty good, and the way they're set up are great (as usual). I don't really notice anything too different, even with the studio change, but nevertheless I'm enjoying the second installment. New people have been introduced to kind of freshen up the series and it still remains interesting.

Best Girl: Akatsuki

Orenchi no Furo Jijo

No it's not yaoi.

Best Girl: waht

Sword Art Online II

Now that the Death Gun arc is finally over we can get to the good stuff. Supposedly the next arc is a really good one, and with the way last episode ended it looks like it. I finally get to see more Asuna and also Shino with ANIMAL EARS AND TAIL WOOOOOOOOOOO.

But yeah, the added Asuna is nice. Don't much care for the other girls besides Asuna and Shino.

Best Girl: Shino

Trinity Seven

Here's a little poem that I've come up with on the spot:

MC looks like a monkey
He watches girls hold in pee
He rips off your clothes to see
All for this girl named Hijiri

This anime is straight-up great if it fits your tastes. To other people it may just seem "meh", but to others it's just a really fun anime. Thanks Trinity Seven, for being that really fun anime this season. And also thanks for the huge harem, loaded with girls with varying stereotypes.

Best Girl: Lilith-sensei

Time To Sleep

Nighty night beautiful baby girl (no I'm kidding I know you're a guy).

I'm an 8 for tonight.

Don't Know When The Next Post Will Be, So Here You Go

Not According To Plan

Originally I intended to make this post the whole "[Anime] Fall 2014 Thoughts" one, but I've have not been keeping up with everything. A large factor to this is because of just how much anime I want to watch. To give you an idea here's the list of everything that I'm watching right now:

Akame ga Kill!
Amagi Brilliant Park
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai
Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken
Grisaia no Kajitsu
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de
Kiseijuu
Log Horizon 2
Orenchi no Furo Jijo
Sword Art Online II
Trinity Seven

But then there's also everything that I want to watch...

Akatsuki no Yona
Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo
Denkai-Gai no Honya-san
Girlfriend (Kari)
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji
Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
Shirobako
Sora no Method
Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete

Yeah /: Assuming that I do indeed watch everything in the second list I'll have effectively doubled the amount of anime. So the first problem that this poses is if I even have enough time or will to watch all of these. I might just set aside the second list (excluding a few that I've been looking forward to) and watch those at my own pace. This would in turn also fix my second problem, which is fitting all (if I do watch all the listed anime) of my thoughts into a post.

Alternatively I can just make parts, but that sounds like a lot of work (honestly I wouldn't mind doing, but I would prefer to put that kind of stuff on the anime blog, which I am currently trying to get the domain set up for).

Random picture from Amagi Brilliant Park to fill up space. Right now it's my favourite fall anime.

Off To Do Bio

This wasn't really too much of a post for you (sorry about that). I have a unit test coming up this week so I'm off to get some work done. My plan for the night is to study and then near midnight just try to catch up on a series or two.

Uhhh... tonight I'm an 8? The usual. I'd like to make the next post the anime one but if it's apparent that I won't be able to start it in the next few days I'll just give you a "regular" one. Thanks for your dedication tonight, and I'll see you in the next post ^^

Being Sick And Page Updates

What's Different?

After a bit of thinking and planning (and by that I mean about five seconds worth) I decided to remove the "Accomplishments" page. I felt like it didn't really have a spot on this blog and I could see that it wasn't getting frequented as much as the other pages. So there you have it, it's gone. Poof. Instead I've moved the contents of that page over to "About Me".

Up until now I had 100% forgotten that I was supposed to roll out a new design. Sorry about that. School has been keeping me busy for the most part, and when I don't have homework I'm savouring the time doing something else (anime or gaming most likely). However if I do have that much time I might as well start up that project that I've been talking about.

Things About Me

There's gonna be a lot of text coming up, so here's my cat tax (an Imgur thing). Credits go to the author right here.

I am sick. For the past few days I've had an extremely runny nose and horrid throat. Today I have a dry cough, but the other symptoms have subsided. I'm expecting to make a complete recovery by tomorrow.

While I've been gone from this blog I have joined E-Club and FPAC. I am working as an official member of E-Club whereas things are bit more complicated with FPAC. E-Club meetings cross over with the FPAC ones and I've made it clear that I'll mostly be going to E-Club. So because of that I'll be working behind the scenes with FPAC, helping design logos and such.

Okay so here's one of the bigger things that I have been putting off. The anime blog. I'm gonna try to get the URL set up by today or tomorrow (I'm actually asking a friend to set it up) and then find and tweak a template for it. Don't tell anybody, but I still don't have a name set up for it yet.

Might try to get myself back into HTML/CSS, along with graphic designing. Holding off on the desktop publishing for a bit. I don't think I put enough effort into it before and I should give it a second chance before putting it away for good. Taking up graphic designing will really help out my submissions to FPAC and will just prove to be a useful skill.

I'm behind on anime. I've been watching Special A for the longest time now and sometime in the past three days I have picked up Aldnoah.Zero (enjoying it even if it is mecha). So far the only fall anime that I have watched are the second season of Log Horizon and some random short called I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying (which is surprisingly something that I enjoyed).

Kept You Here For Tooooooooooooooo Looooooooooooooong

Fun fact: The number of "o"s in "Tooooooooooooooo Looooooooooooooong" are the same.

Sorry if you stayed longer than you had intended. Or maybe you just skipped through the whole post just to find out what number I was today so you could add it to that Excel spreadsheet that you have been keeping ever since I started the number thing. I'm an 8 (wow so surprising!) dude.

I wonder if I have ever seen a "stranger" more than once.
